Knowing Christ as A Servant: A Study of Mark
In the Gospel of Mark, Jesus is revealed not as a distant ruler but as the Suffering Servant—one who leads by humbling Himself, loving sacrificially, and obeying the Father with unwavering devotion. In this study, based on Tara-Leigh Cobble’s Knowing Christ as a Servant, we will explore how Mark’s fast-moving narrative invites us to see Jesus more clearly and follow Him more faithfully.
Being transformed by the power of the suffering servant. When Jesus came to this world, His servant-like life confounded even those close to Him. Still today, there is much to learn and appreciate about this aspect of Christ. Together, we will reflect on His example, discuss how His servant-heart shapes our own lives, and consider practical ways to embody His humility in our relationships, homes, and communities.
Join us as we deepen our understanding of Christ’s character and allow His life of service to transform ours.
